pdf export never finishes for large graphs

Bug Description

I'm working with a graph of 50K nodes, 160K edges. The layout in OpenOrd works fine, but the export in PDF stays stucked at 100% and never finishes. After some time, Gephi doesn't respond anymore.

How is it without exporting the edges?

It works without the edges.
Maybe the graph is too large to be handled correctly?

Memory starvation issue?

That also seems too many edges Adobe Reader will be able to read

OK, but in such a case, one wants maybe that Gephi doesn't allow the export at all, instead of being stuck?

We can't, as it's technically impossible to detect such starvation with Java.
