Bug Description
Binary package hint: python-mock
Availability:
- the package is availale on since lucid
- pure python so no architecture issues
Security:
- no known security issues and given that its only used for testing its unlikely that it will have any
Quality assurance:
- there are no open bugs in launchpad
- there are no open bugs in debian
- there are 21 open issues in the google code upstream page, but 4 defects
UI standards: (generally only for user-facing applications)
- there is no UI
- the develop documentation is very good
Dependencies:
- only depends on python itself, recommends libjs-jquery which is already in main
Standards compliance:
- FHS compliant, lintian clean
Maintenance:
- upstream is active
- got a NMU in debian, but that should be ok, if needed we can maintian the package (upstream works for canonical in the ISD team)
Packground information:
The package is needed as a build dependency for aptdaemon. It runs its build-in testsuite using python-mock and python-unittest2. Generally the lib is pretty popular and is used on all ISD projects (like the ratings&reviews server) and inside software-center (but s-c does not run its test-suite at build time currently, only at bzr-buildpackage time).
