Bug Description
This is a severe problem for our deployment environment where we don't trust the internet at all.
The symptoms are:
WARNING: intersphinx inventory 'http://
spewed to the pqm-errors list from the 'update-
Note that adding http_proxy would open us up to crafted attacks on our deployed appserver code should there be bugs in sphinx. So we should not do that.
