image does not always fit to window

Bug Description
If a photo is too big or too small the entire window may drastically change in size. To see this effect, try replacing one of your photos with a large wallpaper (to see oversizing) or an empty file (to see undersizing).

I added a branch that seems to solve the problem for too big images.
Needs some testing.
Doesn't solve the problem of too small images though.
