I can confirm this issue - still not clear why this is happening, as ixf86misc is still installed...

It's caused by the debhelper generated prerm script for kde-guidance-powermanager which removes the python-support links for all of kde-guidance's files. It needs someone more experienced with python packages to know how to fix it.

I cannot reproduce this problem on gutsy anymore.
Can somebody still reproduce this problem with up-to-date gutsy?
