Bug Description
1. Open pic (image.png)
2. File --->Save as...
3. In dropdown list for image types, change it to jpg
4. Filename is still image.png and will save as such until you manually change it into image.jpg

What OS are you testing on? When I change the image type, the filename is completely cleared.
Probably not the ideal behavior, but that's the one provided by Gtk.
