listen crashes on startup: TypeError: could not convert type int to gchararray required for parameter 2

I am getting the following error when trying to start Listen:

I have tried both removing ~/.cache/listen and ~/.config/listen away and have removed ~/**/listen(D) (zsh syntax).

I can provide you the strace output or anything else that would help you to fix this.
