Bug Description

Binary package hint: ssl-cert

install ssl-cert (apt-get install ssl-cert), then call

make-ssl-cert generate-default-snakeoil
make-ssl-cert generate-default-snakeoil
make-ssl-cert generate-default-snakeoil

Since overwriting an existing cert should generate an error message --- ever being a cert created?

ls -la /etc/ssl/certs/*snakeoil*

Nothing! This script fails silently. Since no cert created, https wont work.

That is not really correct: it does not exaust an error message if a cert-file exists and shall be overwritten. It is enough to have the file --- it may be empty.
