Bug Description

Blender is in place (on system and also the development version is on my home folder), but OpenShot cannot see the blender executable eve the path is correct for both versions of Blender (2.4.9 and 2.5.6b). So I cannot check animated titles (: .

I have Ubuntu Maverick (x86) up to date , 4 gb RAM, a 500 120gb free on home folder and 100 on system partition, ATI Radeon HD 5570 with 1GB RAM.
Openshot was updated from PPA 2 days ago.

Not an show stopper bug - so no debug file ..sorry.

Hi,
You must complete the path in the preferences (or Ctrl + P) like it is explained here : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1299
Thanks.

UPDATE

there seems to be a problem with long strings in path - I've changed the path to Blender 2.5.6 beta executable (and location of Blender of course) in a short string (I moved Blender folder in /home/Applications/BlenderBeta/ so now it works.

"Bug" closed for me - but please check the length of strings limitation.
For the strings with breaks maybe a short script can add auto-magically the necessary quotes.

You are not obliged to keep the name of the blender tar, me I rename it by blender-2.56. Thus it is more simple (and with none writing error) to complete it in the preferences.
But we will see that. Thanks for your remark.
