It worked fine between those crashes, even with plugins installed and even on flashsites. I can say this for kubuntu and ubuntu.

Let me explain it more detailed:

I started with dapper working only in ubuntu desktop
after that i upgraded to edgy still ubuntu an run into the firefox flash-problem.

searched and found https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+ticket/1817

and fixed it and even installed flash V 9.

Then i desided to try out xubuntu and kubuntu and installed both and then the first crash occured:

It was the first time I started firefox after a restart and installing xubuntu-desktop and
kubuntu-desktop and was choosing xubuntu for the session

From there on I only used kubuntu. Afer a few updates and installations I ran into
the above xorg.conf problem again but now under ubuntu.

I fixed it again and it worked again.

Well, then I loged into xubuntu and then the second crash occured:

After the first crash, I was only using kubuntu-desktop an now after just loging in I got the
following crash file without even starting anything

On my opinion those crashes have nothing to do with flash. At least the second crash startet directly after login in and without starting firefox at all.

I hope this helped

can we get a retrace on this report? otherwise we would need a fresh report captured with latest firefox package.

Holger, since you submitted two reports that contain the same symptoms I assume that you can reproduce this. Can you give us instructions on how to crash firefox in the way you did?
