Bug Description

Binary package hint: simple-scan

Even if file name extensions are not absolutely required, many applications and file sharing tools need them to work properly. If a document is saved and the automatically entered file extension is overwritten, it will not be added back. I was expecting a behavior similar to the save dialog in Gimp (minus the feature that allows to determine the file format from the extension).
