Bug Description

Please sync mtdev 1.1.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Debian has applied our changes via parallel distro support.
d/libmtdev1.links -> d/links.m4 + d/rules.conf
d/control -> d/rules

Changelog entries since current natty version 1.1.0-0ubuntu1:

mtdev (1.1.0-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Updated for Debian.
  * Update debian/rules.
    - Add change_dist target.
      This target converts debian/control and links files
      for distribution automatically.

Hi,

If build this on ubuntu, please execute debian/rules control.
This commant generate debian/control and links file.

I tested it generally, but please contact it if there is a problem.
And I do not know whether this is the best method to maintain each other's packages.
If there are other methods, please teach it.

Unfortunately, running "debian/rules control" is not part of the standard buildd system. This package cannot be syncd as is. Artur did you try building it and comparing it against the Ubuntu version? It clearly drops the udeb. Why not just include the udeb on the Debian side too?

Kees that's right, I built package fine but I didn't check whether there are 4 binaries. Debian package has to add libmtdev1-udeb in d/control if want to get udeb for installer. This workaround doesn't work. I don't know how about apport links cause I was trying to use '$ apport-bug libmtdev1' and it can't go because mtdev 1.1.0-1ubuntu1 is not in official archive.

Nobuhiro, if you don't want include libmtdev1-udeb in d/control, you should remove workaround for it cause it doesn't work for Ubuntu.

Yeah, there's no benefit to merging this. Let's wait for Debian to sort of the Ubuntu delta and attempt a sync in natty+1.
