Bug Description
Binary package hint: simple-scan
Steps to reproduce:
1) Plug in scanner (I have Canon CanoScan LiDE 25)
2) Start Simple Scan
3) Set scanning mode to Text
4a) Start scanning a page
4b) Observe that the page is scanned in b/w
4c) Abort the scan
5) Delete the scanned page
6) Confirm that the scanning mode is Text
7) Start scanning the page again
What should happen:
8) Page scans in b/w
What happens:
8) Page scans in color
I'm running 10.10/AMD64 from live USB key. I disabled the CD-ROM repository from sources.list, did apt-get update and apt-get install simple-scan. At this point I discovered this bug.
Workaround:
Close and open Simple Scan. The drawback is that one loses the partial set of pages scanned.
