Bug Description

After starting the sound recorder I have realized that no devies were shown in the selectors. Suddenly the application crashed.

I recorded two audio tracks. Had both windows open. clicked on X to close and selected to not save. the application stopped responding. did a forced quit. restarted the sound recorder ok.

kmw, thank you for your bug interest, your crash is different from the one you are commenting on which is confusing and creates extra work for people working on launchpad. Could you open a new bug if you don't know what you are doing? The bugsquad will direct you to the right bug if that's a duplicate

Well I did think it was the same but obviously now that you say it wasn't
is wasn't...like you say the bugsquad should re-direct it, if need be.

To know if that's the same bug you can look the functions from the crash file. The new comment mentions gsr_window_new () first where the bug described happens to the gm_audio_profile_get_pipeline () function

No, the problem is gone (I had to install gnome-media in Xubuntu 8.04 first, though). Thanks, now I can start using the audio recorder.
