Retain printer settings during each session

my request is not a "bug"!)

Request that Inkscape retain printer settings during each session. When printing from Inkscape for the
first time during a session, default settings are appropriately used. I may choose another printer, and/or
change settings, then print the job. During the same session, I may print again, but the default settings
are presented instead of the previously used settings. It would really help my work flow to be able to print
using previous settings.

Again, this capability would be appropriate for the current session. It does not need to be provided
for a subsequent session (exiting Inkscape and re-starting the program).

One of my frequent uses of Inkscape is to print CD/DVD labels. My default printer is a PDF driver.
So I select a different printer and change the default input tray to manual feed. After printing, I make
changes for the next pair of labels. But I must select the different printer again, and change the default
input tray to manual feed, again.

I appreciate working with Inkscape, and look forward to new releases! I am currently using 0.48.0 r9654
