The package is availalbe in debian and ubuntu since maverick.

Rationale:
The package is a build-dependency of aptdaemon

Security:
There are no known security issues and the nature of the package (a test helper) makes it unlikely
that there will be any big risks.

Quality assurance:
There are currently no open ubuntu or debian bugs

UI standards:
There is no UI or po files

Dependencies:
No dependencies other than core python and python support.

Standards compliance:
 lintian clean (except for missing manpages)
