Running Lucid (10/04) tried to install Libreoffice via ppa and could not do so...report of broken dependencies and refused to install

Once I manually removed the existing OpenOffice URE package (OpenOffice.org UNO Runtime Environment) the installation was able to run properly. Might the Libreoffice package be amended so as to automate this process and thus solve the bug I have reported?
