Bug Description
Any of my folders launches Banshee Media Player under Unity's Places. The problem stops if I uninstall Banshee. It doesn't happen with Rhythmbox Player though. (Running Maverick and installed the latest unity 2d updates today)
Gnome places menu works fine under Ubuntu Desktop Edition.

could you right click a folder and select 'open with other applications' a window will popup there search 'file manager' and make sure the option to always open with this type is ticked. then click open and re-login and see if that fixes the issue.
Sounds similar to a nautilus issue
