Podcast managing

It would be awesome to have podcast managing(downloading episodes,subscribing etc),maybe showing them in an ad-hoc section,different from the music collection..
Obviously it's nothing which can be done quickly so marking it as Wishlist is appropriate.

Podcasts are pretty well supported in Banshee, I'd love to see something like it in BeatBox.

I think it would be useful to have a row like in postler which indicates whether an episode is 'new' by showing a little blue dot. Also a row showing whether an episode has already been downloaded might be useful.

Those are both good ideas. I was already intending to do both, by showing a certain image in the image column. One image for new, one image for saved locally. The new image would take precedence over the saved locally image.

Or, the play count column could just be used instead of the 'is new' image.

I agree, the use of the play count column would be nice, since the count doesn't really matter for podcasts. IMHO, both columns should be separate, since one could already have saved a certain episode locally but not played it yet or the other way around.

Yes, but having 2 columns with images doesn't sound like the best to me.

Hmmm. That is certainly a good solution, but I hate copying iTunes. If nothing else comes up though, I will probably use it.
