Binary package hint: indicator-network
See the attached screenshot: the network indicator appears twice in the indicator area.
I've been seeing this quite often in the last couple of days, and I'm not sure it's a network-indicator bug, as I've also seen it happening with the keyboard indicator.

I think you are using package network- manager- gnome, because you don't
have indicator-network installed. (indicator-network uses connman.)
I'll move this bug to network- manager- applet.
