Running under Mandriva 2010.1, crash while trying to open jpeg file

Is this repeatable? If so, try running:

ffplay filename.jpg

and

melt filename.jpg

Don't know anything about Mandriva and it's packages, but it would seem there is something wrong with one of your packages/libraries somewhere, as jpg files work ok with other distributions.

Same if we don't know the exact names for Mandriva, you should check all your dependencies (see here : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=589) and especially the Frei0r-plugins and libsvg2-common.

After installing newer Mandriva version, it solved this problem. (2010.2).
