Bug Description
Binary package hint: notification-daemon
I have three monitors configured on screens :0.0, :0.1, and :0.2, without xinerama (I want three semi-independent desktops, not one large virtual one). However, the notification area does not function in this setup. The applet is displayed, but no notifications appear. This is particularly annoying with ekiga, which sits in the system notification area waiting for input, and gives an error when you try to start a second instance.

It looks like this one is being tracked in bug #128735 and #12696. Not that helps solve the problem, but since I'm also having the same problem and was searching the database, I thought I'd put a note here pointing at those other two.
