Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz crashes at login. In the end I lose my desktop and receive a screen with only the wallpaper. I cannot start programs and the last time this happened I reinstalled the OS. After reinstall the Ubuntu logo, top left, produced a blank window. Clicking on it gives no list of programs sorted in categories as I expect it should I only land up in ../bin/ with list of all applications - this was after first install now I don't even get that far. Hope this helps.
