Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
My iPhone 3GS was showing up and working just fine in Rhythmbox just a month or two ago. I only use Rhythmbox to copy music to the iPhone, which I have done previously and repeatedly without incident. For some reason, I suspect due to an update somewhere along the line, the iPhone stopped showing up within Rhythmbox.
Note that the iPhone DOES automount, show up on the desktop, and I can browse it with Nautilus. I have tried go get Rhythmbox to recognize it with (a) automount enabled and disabled, (b) automatically at Rhythmbox startup and with Rhythmbox -> Music -> Scan Removable Media, and (c) all logical combinations of (a) and (b). Nothing works.
In a nutshell, then, my iPhone functions as always with Gnome, Nautilus, and any other way that I wish to work with it, but for some reason Rhythmbox has, within the last few months, stopped recognizing the iPhone.
