I've removed the ATI RADEON 9200 video card and all seem to be better. No graphic acceleration works but the system boots properly.

Another way to solve the problem is to create a Launcher on the Desktop to launch gnome-terminal.
In the Terminal write "killall gnome-panel" then log out by the top right botton and log in in classic mode.

I've tested Beta 2 release (20110416) and I'm not able to reproduce the bug because compiz seem not to start now (without compiz effects and it's preferences in the menu).
Can I do something else to help or it's now all ok?
