compiz segfault leaving unusable desktop

Binary package hint: compiz

Natty installed from scratch on a Dell Mini9 (intel 945). Following last updates to unity and xserver-xorg, compiz crashes on startup leaving an empty desktop (no bar, no dock, only background). Notifications are working, and network manager correctly paired with wifi network.

Compiz+unity was working fine until yesterday upgrades.
