Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

I was using Ubuntu 9.04 when the problem started. Only one AOL account was problematic. I decided to upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04 The Natty Narwhal and the problem started immediately. It also moved to the second AOL account.

Further details:
1) a message in AOL appears.
2) read message and it is flagged as read.
3) when the refresh happens (auto or manual) the message is flagged as unread.

Support information:
The problem only appeared in recent times after an update. I did not record the details as I thought the folder/file/database was corrupt.
I installed a new HDD and installed Ubuntu 11.04. I then configured my emails and let the history I had left on the mail server download.
The problem was immediately present on the new database that had been created.

Hi there,

Any news on this? In Natty the problem is still there and it's pretty annoying!

Addendum..... if one chooses IMAP+ instead of IMAP the problem goes away. But then one has the problem of double trash and junk/spam folders since with IMAP+ one can't choose the folders for spam and trash, just for drafts and sent. So in either case one has a very annoying situation.

I've upgraded to 3.0.0 (through the 'experimental' repo from Debian) and the problem is still there....

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
