Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

All I did was logged into the single user I have on my machine. I could see the background, but nothing else came up. I pressed Ctrl Alt Del to get the restart dialog, and about then I got apport telling me compiz crashed. (I never did get the restart dialog, until I eventually pressed Ctrl Alt Del again.) None of the windows apport opened had borders.

I have an Nvidia card and I am running the Experimental 3d drivers as installable by jockey. (I did have compiz and those drivers working just fine. This is the first time I've had compiz crash.)

I will see if logging in again triggers this bug. I will also try restarting and then logging in.
(Edit:neither re-triggered the bug.)

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

compiz-core: installed version 1:0.9.2.1+glibmainloop4-0ubuntu7, latest version: 1:0.9.2.1+glibmainloop4-0ubuntu8
libdb4.8-dbg: installed version 4.8.30-3, latest version: 4.8.30-3ubuntu1
libglib2.0-0: installed version 2.27.92-0ubuntu1, latest version: 2.27.93-0ubuntu1
x11-common: installed version 1:7.5+6ubuntu8, latest version: 1:7.6~3ubuntu1
libglib2.0-0-dbg: installed version 2.27.92-0ubuntu1, latest version: 2.27.93-0ubuntu1
libdb4.8: installed version 4.8.30-3, latest version: 4.8.30-3ubuntu1

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!
