Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Restarting after update. I'm left with only the desktop. No icons - no bars - nothing. In the update was xorgx(?) wich had failed to update several times earlier today.

I have experienced this bug too. Apparently, it is with Unity 3.4.0 running at the same time Compiz is running. Adding Unity to the list of packages this bug affects.
