I expect to be able to copy images from a jpeg and a png file, and paste them side by side in a new file.
What happened was that upon trying this, gimp froze and eventually crashed. The message left in the terminal upon gimp crashing was: "(script-fu:21769): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
[1] 21746 segmentation fault (core dumped)"
Upon trying to paste images from two files side by side in a larger image, gimp froze and eventually crashed. I ran gimp from the terminal and got this message: "(script-fu:21769): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
[1] 21746 segmentation fault (core dumped) "
