Crashes when run with kdesu

Backupping system directories with keep requires running it as root but

kdesu keep

always results in "ERROR: Communication problem with keep, it probably crashed."

Unfortunately that link only gives the repository for debug symbols for things in edgy and feisty. I'm on Dapper and currently not interested in upgrading. Do you know where I can get the relevant packages for Dapper?

Yes. But I haven't gotten around compiling a debugging package of keep yet as one did not exist. If no one else has this bug I do not really want to put effort in it as it turned out Keep does not fullfill my backup needs well enough anyway.

Without the debugging codes the only new information from backtrace was "Program exited with code 0377."

I actually ended up abandoning Keep completely, so no problems
anymore. If someone else experiences that problem, I'll be glad to
look into it still.
