Bug Description

Binary package hint: apt

Please support libkibi [1] for displaying sizes.

SizeToStr (in apt-pkg/contrib/strutl.cc) should be modified to call kibi_format_size or kibi_n_format_size.

APT already complies with the policy by using only base-10 prefixes and only using it for file sizes and download speeds. There's no reason to use libkibi.
