Snes9x sound problems (possible codec conflict)

Bug Description

Sound on Snes9x does not work anymore possibly because I installed avi and ogg codecs. I installed vlc media player also. I would like to see these codecs not conflict with the Snes9x program. I also reinstalled Snes9x and the problem remains.

I discovered the problem; Snes9x sound will not work when VLC Media Player is running. It would be cool if it did but no big deal.
