error unknown 10.04.02 kxstudio /runs graphic mode

Binary package hint: ubuntustudio-controls

Very often I walk away 4/5 minutes & upon return a note says an error occurred; am given 4 options or run Ubuntu in low graphics mode for just one session. Was forced to boot with 10.04 install DVD to get past set up; and, I am unclear what is happening. I thought this was behind me but, it's showing its head again and again. This an unknown 10.04.02 kxstudio error that causes one to run in graphic mode. For most part I am not using either audio or video programs, so, I cannot report problems on that scale.

help me understand if what you make of the results ubuntustudio control has provided. to get here, I ran ubuntu-bug ubuntustudio-controls in terminal.

an auto update in last 70 hours appeared to run okay. but this morning while using OO3.2, the screen grayed and all control over the PC occurred. Was able to boot and enter set up where I updated the date and pressed escape. since that I could only boot with a desktop ubuntu OS. I collected the new error info by going to System> Administration >Logfile Viewer and let the auto notify launchpad with the Xorg.0.log System monitor report.

Ouch... gotta run. pray for resolving this

this is an old bug. I can not see what kxstudio and ubuntustudio-controls have to do with it either. However, ubuntustudio-controls has been rewritten with different goals in mind in any case.
