Bug Description
Binary package hint: light-themes
The date/time menu has a calendar widget. In its current state, it looks very busy:
* When the calendar is focused, a bright orange highlight applies to its (dynamic) selected day and its (static) day headers.
* Around the entire widget (including the header) there is a 1px border.
* Around the calendar there is another 1px border.
* There is an unbalanced margin around the day names, slightly larger on top.
* The calendar has three background colours that are different from the menu. The header is darker, the calendar itself is lighter, and the day names are somewhere in between.
The calendar in the specification is really not a source of data, but something to add a bit of context to existing data:

On the other hand, the calendar widget is normally used as a date picker (an input field), not an illustration. In its current state, this widget draws way more attention than it should.
