John,
When I added the two lines to my sources.list I got the following error:
forbescw@forbescw-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get update
E: Type 'wget' is not known on line 64 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list

I don't know what to do next.
Thanks.
Craig

Only add deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~pitti/ddebs edgy main universe to your repos. The wget command is to get his key so you dont get the key warnings. Instead of running sudo apt-get install yelp-dbgsym commnad change the yelp to the package you want the symbols on.

Thanks for your bug report.

A follow up on John's questions.

Could you please install firefox-dbg and try to obtain a backtrace (or crash report) by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingFirefox This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

It is of particular interest that you run apport-retrace against your crash report.

Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Thanks
David
