the whole story:

i am trying to reconfigure my hard disks thats why i'm moving files from one
disk to another but while moving mp3 files, there are so many of them,
problem occur and says nonunicode chracter ... so i have to skip moving that
file but this way it takes so much time and becomes hard to handle. So i
diceded to archive that folder while doing this i was doing nothing strange
only internet, watching movie no such other thing.. First tar said that file
size limit exceeded than closed itself i tried again but this time i wasnt
looking what was going on when i came back i saw that only a small part of
the files archived and tar vas closed.

All i can say these, i hope it will be usefull and thanks for responding see
you

The message "file size limit exceeded" may have been because the tar file had become larger than the filesystem was able to cope with. How much data were you dealing with?

The crash file's indication that it died due to signal 25 marks this bug as a duplicate of bug 75574. It's a kernel issue, and was originally by design, as there were standards that at one time actually required this behavior. This does not seem to be the case any more; a patch to the kernel has been submitted, but it may be some time before someone can take responsibility for it and merge it in upstream. The Ubuntu kernel developers have indicated that they will not apply the patch until it has been definitively accepted upstream.
