Bug Description

Binary package hint: picocom

Picocom version 1.6 implements local echo command, which would be very useful for working with connected serial devices such as XBee wireless modems. If it's possible to update the package for 10.04 and 11.04 that would be really great.

picocom 1.7 is in Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha "Quantal Quetzal" which is scheduled for release later this year.
