Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-mplayer

I'm on Dapper, using Firefox 1.5.0.7, and the version 3.25-7 of mozilla-mplayer backported from edgy don't work at all. I get a grey box (empty window) each time I try to play a movie or streaming audio. I downgraded to dapper version 3.17-1 and everythings works again.

mplayerplug-in (3.25-7ubuntu1~dapper1) dapper-backports; urgency=low

  * Automated backport upload; no source changes.

However.... original bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/dapper-backports/+bug/62186

I dont know where this came from...

Was this possibly before the automated stuff throguh Soyuz?

Archive team, can you please pull this from backports? (or at least tell us how it came to be there in the first place!)

No, we can neither pull it from backports (due to a soyuz bug), nor tell you how it came to go there. It's not one of the automatic ones, or at least I am unable to find it in the processed queues (but they might have been flushed).

I think it was one of the ones when we had to poke elmo.

It wasn't me who requested it, and I'm not too sure where it came from

Unsubscribing archive team, since we cannot do anything about this ATM. If the Feisty version gets fixed to work on dapper, then we should backport again. Please subscribe ubuntu-archive again or file a new backport bug.

I guess a workaround would be to get a developer to upload a copy of
the old version in dapper with a higher version number.
