Bug Description
bzr-git/hardy is currently FTBFS in the ~bzr/proposed PPA. On looking into it, it turns out that sometimes bzr-git passes a unicode object as a pathname to tdb, and the version of python-tdb in hardy does not like this.
Even though this only effects hardy, it seems to me that bzr-git should be responsible for converting the pathnames into a bytestring before handing them off to tdb.
