Bug Description
Binary package hint: kopete
Running Edgy here.
If I turn "automatic spell check" on in Kopete's preferences. Nothing happens.
On a chat window:
Settings --> "automatic spell check" is always disabled, regardless of the default setting of it in the Preferences.
However, if I use "Mouse Right Click" -> "auto spell check"; then it starts working. But I then I have to do this every time I start a new chat window.

Yes, this has been also reported in KDE's bugzilla:
http:// bugs.kde. org/show_ bug.cgi? id=136193
It affects ICQ and MSN accounts, but not Yahoo or Jabber (don't know about the others).
