evolution not updating number of new mail in folder pane

Binary package hint: evolution

in left side evolution have the mailfolders, and after each folder a bold number tells how many new mails there are in that folder.
however the number is updatet wven opening evolution and tjecking mail, but when the new mail are read, the number doesnt update.

It seems to work quite well here, but I'm using only IMAP accounts: could you please tell us more about your configuration, such as whether you use Exchange or MAPI accounts, POP email, and such?
