Search in dash breaks application place launcher.

As soon as I type something in search input, application place launcher disappear from

In Unity if you click again it'll cause the daemon to come back up, it won't remove the icon.

So in the event of a crash of the applications/files place daemon, the corresponding place entries should remain in the launcher. Clicking them will bring up the corresponding daemon if necessary (through D-Bus activation).

Anyone got a trace of the crashes from the apps place daemon?

@Mikkel: I have never personally observed this crash. All I did in unity-2d was to make sure that it behaves like unity when such a crash happens (tested by just killing the daemon).
