software-center will not install a downloaded .deb

software-center will attepmt but fail on installing any single .deb package whether from browser dialog or downloaded and then opened.

This has occurred to me also and it should be noted that dpkg will install the same package (.deb) with no complaint at all .

The latest software-center package (3.1.15) does not resolve this - the changelog is slightly ambiguous about fix in regards toinstalling a .deb that is not in the apt cache.
In any event it (SC) still can't.

More appropriate bug?
