No security options in account setup

I really love this app as it does exactly what one would expect: check mail, and that's it.

However, in some aspects it's too simple.
When I create a new account, I just have to enter my address and password, which in most cases just works. But my school mail requires specific settings that can't be guessed so easily, and if there are no advanced options, then one can't use that account in Postler.

I'd like to have a “More Advanced options” for those who need too many details, but leave the simple dialog for everyone.

Where do i select SSL/TLS or unencrypted connection?

I have yet to find a provider that I can't use without any SSL options. And I treasure this aspect because I am looking back at randomly changing security options until they work in other clients.

We don't support insecure connections. Not until somebody gives a very good reason anyway.

Maybe it's something weird, but my school email doesn't support encrypted access.

One.com (quite big European web hosting service provider) does not support secure connections.

My school too requires an SSL connection to connect to the email server. Has there been any progress on this issue?

Harsh, Postler is no longer being developed. You should look at Geary, Yorba's mail app which will be included in elementary OS.
