Bug Description

Binary package hint: iscsitarget

I use the iscsitarget package using blockio, to make a hard disk available to two vmware(4.1) hosts. The ISCSI volume is formatted by VMWare using VMFS, and all VM images are placed there. Occasionally the system will come to a complete lock up, and i noticed the switch LEDs going nuts, so I did a port mirror to wireshark the activity. the wireshark logs indicated there was a reservation conflict. Restarting the iscsitarget service clears the error, and things continue along for a few days until this happens again.

In reading the release notes on the new iscsitarget build (1.4.20.2), i believe this update will correct the issue, so I would like to petition Ubuntu to make this new release available on the 10.04 64bit server distro.

Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.

I'm assuming that either you have upgraded to 12.04 and don't still have this issue or you have used a different solution - please update and let us know; if we need to still fix this for 10.04, then we need to identify the specific commits upstream that fix this issue.
