Bug Description
Description by adams:
I notice on my theme (Gnome's Industrial Tango) and monitor combination, it is quite hard to tell whether an instrument's buttons (record enable, mute, solo etc) are 'pressed in'.
Therefore it would be a good idea to make the tooltips for all buttons including the transport controls context sensitive.
E.g. for an instrument's mute button:
"Click to enable mute button" / "Click to disable mute button"
and so on.
Another idea someone recently had was to replace the buttons with LEDs like a real mixing desk which makes it easy to see what is enabled and what isn't, though this is arguably harder.

It says "Fix Committed", but this hasn't been fixed for the arm recording and solo button for instruments.
