When I open files with a path that contains one of the non-english characters æ, ø or å, OpenOffice fails with the message: /absolute/
I attach an empty odt file with a name that triggers the bug on my computer.

I can't confirm this bug in both Lucid and Maverick.
I can open the file you have attached without errors: org-writer 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 org-writer 1:3.2.1-7ubuntu1
Lucid 10.04 x86_64 2.6.32-27.49 with openoffice.
Maverick 10.10 i386 2.6.35-24.42 with openoffice.
Can you try with another user? Maybe is a configuration problem.
