Bug Description
When the backtick character appears in the track title, streamripper prints messages like this: [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ] [ripping... ]
instead of the expected line. Also filenames get corrupt (there's no artist, but the artist appears in the track name).
passed this report upstream through their forums: http:// streamripper. sourceforge. net/phpBB2/ viewtopic. php?p=7516# 7516
I've not tested it myself (where can I find a stream with backticks?) but it sound plausible.
Could you please confirm which version of streamripper you are using?
