I installed ubuntu 9.04 and upgraded it ti 9.10. I use this version on my Toshiba satellie pro sp6100 as it is the only version of ubuntu that will see the wireless card in this laptop. but the sound is not working at the moment.

No versions of ubuntu has worked with the yamaha sound card in this computer. i tried 10.4 and 10.10 versions and the sound hasn't worked.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
